“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me
will never walk in darkness, but will have the light
of life.”- John 8:12
All of us have had our share of heartache &
disappointments in our lives. Some deeper than
others…in fact, some so deep that they have
defining impact on the way we see our lives. Our
previous pains can prevent us from seeing the
potential of our present. While darkness and
difficulty are inevitable realities of our lives, they
do not have to be the lens by which we view our
existence. God’s will is that we have lives full of
joy, hope and peace. When we choose to live our
lives in the way Jesus teaches us to, we give
ourselves access to all of these. When we don’t,
we confine ourselves to a condition of life that
God does not desire for us to have.
This week, make time to consider the connection
between your conditions and your conduct.
Make up your mind to live life in a way that
resembles the model Jesus gave us through the
life He lived. Love like Jesus. Be kind like Jesus.
Be peaceful like Jesus. Be patient like Jesus. Be
forgiving like Jesus. Resurrect something dead
like Jesus. Our best lives are just one change
away. Follow Jesus and watch the “light of life”
brighten our lives. Love you to life. Have a
