God desires for us to know and understand God as best we can. And as we attempt to
submit our lives to God, the best way for us to comprehend the character of our Creator is
to commit to studying the Bible. Different than an ordinary book, the Bible is inspired by t
Holy Spirit and written for the purpose of humanity understanding the heart and mind of
God. Many of our brothers and sisters, misquote, misinterpret & mishandle the word of God.
Worse, they spread their poor perspective with others in the name of Jesus. As we attempt
to live lives pleasing to God, we do good to study the sacred scriptures…to engage with the
intent of determining God’s will for our lives and how we should live as a result.
This week, make time to deepen your study of the Bible, Make up your mind to dig deeper
into God’s word in your devotional time. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s essence as you
are studying the word of God. Reach out to your pastor as a resource to help you
understand what it is you are reading (that is LITERALLY their job!). Pray for God to give a
hunger (or an increased appetite) for the Bible. God has so much for us to reveal through
the Bible. Take the time to study You will be the better for it. Love you to life. Have a blessed
